4. A peaceful and secure Africa: This aspiration seeks to promote peace and security in Africa, and to prevent and resolve conflicts. It also aims to promote the respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of African states.
5. An Africa with a strong cultural identity, common heritage, values and ethics: This aspiration seeks to promote the preservation and promotion of African culture, heritage, values, and ethics. An Africa whose development is people-driven, relying on the potential of African people, especially its women and youth, and caring for children: This aspiration seeks to promote the development of Africa’s human capital, including women and youth. Africa as a strong, united and influential global player and partner: This aspiration seeks to promote Africa’s role in the global community, and to strengthen Africa’s position in international organizations and negotiations. To achieve these aspirations, Agenda 2063 outlines a number of flagship programs and projects that focus on key areas such as infrastructure development, industrialization, agriculture and food security, human capital development, science, technology and innovation, and environmental sustainability.
